If your goal is a packed dance floor, thoughtful song choice is everything.
After DJing hundreds of weddings, I can tell you that it’s really hard to narrow this down to just six songs.
There are a lot of songs that can work. But this list is all about the ones that are pretty much guaranteed to fill the D floor — the kinds of tracks that consistently get people moving at millennial and Gen Z weddings.
Of course, every crowd is different. Some songs will hit harder depending on the group, the vibe, and the moment.
That's why picking the right DJ is so important for your wedding.
It’s not just about playing the right songs — it’s about playing them at the right time, reading the room, and building the energy naturally.
That’s exactly what we focus on at Mico Entertainment.
With that said, here are six wedding dance floor fillers for the 90s and 2000s kids like me.

1. Danza Kuduro – Don Omar
This one has universal energy.
It took off during the Fast & Furious era, and it still hits today. That Latin rhythm pulls people in, gets them feeling loco, and encourages major family vibes.
Even if people don’t know the lyrics, they feel it immediately. It's perfect to play within the first few songs to get the dance floor going crazy, all generations are down for this one.
2. No Scrubs – TLC
This is a perfect sing-along to slow things down while keeping people on the dance flor, and I usually save it for the end of the night.
Best moment: Last 10–15 songs, when there’s a tight group of legends and everyone’s locked in.
Why it works: Everyone knows it, everyone sings it, and it feels a bit more personal than the big, obvious, fast-pace hits.
3. All The Small Things – Blink-182
All out energy, jumping up and down, belting out the lyrics. I usually drop around the same time as Mr. Brightside. They're both huge.
Best timing: Near the end of the night, when people have had a few soda pops, stop caring how they look, and just go for it.
Why it works: It taps into nostalgia hard, and it brings people together in a really natural way.
4. Yeah x3 – Chris Brown
Pure millennial party energy.
A major throwback to club nights, house parties, and that early 2010s vibe — people respond to it instantly.
Why it works: It’s upbeat, familiar, and easy to move to. No thinking required.
Best use: Mid to late set, when you want to keep momentum high without going into slower singalong territory.
5. Love Story – Taylor Swift
Baby just say yes.
It hits every time.
(Unless the couple really doesn't like T Swift, in which case, we will skip this one.)
Why it works: Mass singalong, strong emotional connection, and it cuts across both millennials and Gen Z effortlessly.
Best timing: Make sure the couple are on the dance floor!
6. Golden – Demon Hunters
The newest song on the list and it honestly crushes. K-pop is huge right now.
If you’ve got a group in the crowd that knows it, they’ll light up immediately… and that energy spreads.
Why it works: It's fresh and full of energy. One group goes all in, and people follow.
DJ note: You need to read the room on this one — but when it lands, it really lands.
But Wait – Where's "Unwritten"?
Great question! I already covered this, it was one of my first 6 picks in the previous list — 6 Dance Floor Fillers for Millennial and Gen Z Weddings.
